The Wild Hunt

Jacket (c/o): Crossfox
Jodhpur leggings (c/o): Crossfox
Shoes (c/o Solestruck): Irregular Choice's "Longer Lashes"
Dreadfalls (c/o & custom made!): Armored Girl

Here I am again, working with the lovely Emilie of Crossfox! I'm always so honored to work with such a quality artist. Emilie's designs are completely her own, combining multiple aesthetics (a dash of tribal, Victorian, and a hint of equestrian/military uniform) to create something so unique that you can't quite put a label on it (let's just call it millequeevicribal fusion wear). I love that most about Crossfox. What I love just as much is the amazing detail and craftsmanship that can be found in every one of her pieces. You can see the love and dedication that goes into Emilie's work quite clearly just by looking at the stitching and observing the fit. I've never felt so good in a jacket before!
I also had the honor of attacking my head with lots of Armored Girl's custom dreadfalls. I'm still working on how exactly to style them so I can wear them on a day to day basis, but it's no work at all making them look natural. She got the color of my hair just right. I think it's so fun to have the option to something with your hair as committed as dreadlocks sans the commitment!
(Sad thing about my favorite boots: I got them while I was modeling for Solestruck years ago so I don't think they can be found anywhere other than eBay and such. My friend Mer is selling hers, so maybe give her a try! Otherwise, sorry! Happy hunting!

Fringe Division

Silk cami: Ann Taylor Loft
Leather tassel belts: eBay

This skirt makes me feel like a sophisticated little vampire fairy hailing from the magic land of Prohibition. That is all I have to say. I'm way too tired and busy to write anything else this week. Sorry, guys.

Little Hooded Figure

Went hopping through the forest...
Hoodie: Ovate
Silk slip: Goodwill
Mesh slip: Goodwill
Stockings: Goodwill
Boots: Some store in San Francisco
Leather Gaiters: eBay

Eyeliner: Lime Crime

I was ALMOST about to write that for once I was wearing an outfit that had nothing from eBay included in it. Spoke too soon.
Anyway, this is a pretty common look for me. My Ovate hoodie and my gaiters are essential when I'm out and about on any given day. In fact, this is my second hoodie from Audrey Cantwell. I plan on being a loyal customer forever. My leather gaiters may last forever too. They're from WWII, I've worn them almost every day for years, and there's still not a sign of such abuse. Army surplus is the way to go.
(P.S. I lied. This wasn't shot in the forest. This is at a park in front of my house.)

Valley of Death

A few days ago marked the three month anniversary of my latest art film VALLE MORTIS. It may not seem like much, but if thirteen year olds can celebrate three month anniversaries, I can.
It was also around this time last year I began filming. Valle Mortis (Valey of Death in Latin) was a huge achievement for me. So if you haven't watched it, it would mean the world to me if you checked it out.

Boy's Clothes

Hoodie: (c/o) Widow Clothing
Garters: (c/o) Noctex
Stockings: Don't remember
Eyeliner: Lime Crime (as always)

I feel the most comfortable in men's clothing. There's something liberating about it. Not in some sort of pseudo-feminist way, but more of a comfort food or safety net sort of way. I used to always steal my uncle's clothes (basically my older brother because of our slight age difference). And my dad's, then a few boyfriend's clothes over the years... And now I just buy them for myself.
Also, sometimes women's clothing is just designed to be so damned uncomfortable.
This men's top from Widow suits me so perfectly. It's one of my new comfort foo -- I mean. Whatever.
Oh! And it's a hell of a lot like the Zionians' costumes in the Matrix. Since I saw the films in 2000something I've wanted a Nebuchadnezzer sweater so freaking bad! Now I'm set until the next reboot of Zion.
